2024 Sweetwater Lions Club Cruise & Car Show
March 8th - 9th, 2024
Welcome to our page and our 6th Annual Car Show. We just finished with our 5th one and it was a HUGE success and already have folks ready to come back so I am working on getting the site ready. We are so excited for the 2024 Show and working on a few behind the scene details to make it even bigger. In 2023 we had 291 vehicles on premises with 310 registered so it's safe to say we are one of the biggest in the Big Country. We can't wait to have you guys back and some new friends as well for the 2024 season. If you have any questions, please holler at me as always. We appreciate each and every one of you!
Crystal Rea (325) 242-3149
Leslee & Jim, photographers, will be roving the show area to photograph each vehicle. They will also have a booth, near registration, offering several photo options to choose from, make a custom print order or schedule a private session.
During the visit to your space, they may request you to accommodate a few things to enhance the images of your vehicle.
Opened hoods & doors, etc., breaks up body lines. For this reason, they may request you to close them, turn the wheels, turn on lights, etc. for better images. It’s also a good idea to, temporarily; remove show placards or signage for the photos.
We want to offer you the opportunity to have some excellent photos, as well as, pleasant memories of this event.
Come cruise and show off your beautiful vehicles in downtown Sweetwater, Texas Friday, March 8th from 6pm - 7:30pm during the World's Largest Rattlesnake Roundup . Awards will be given around 7:45pm at Sonic Drive-In. We are trying to grow this show to give one more attraction for the community and visitors to enjoy during the weekend. The cruise will be the prelude to The Show, Saturday, March 9th at the Nolan County Courthouse and Downtown Area!

Mulberry Manor is located in the Historic Trammell House in Sweetwater Texas (Texas Historical Marker 5551). The home was built by rancher and banker Thomas Trammell (1848-1919) between 1911 and 1913. Trammell is known as the "Father of Sweetwater" for his involvement in bringing the railroads to town. Trammell hired noted architect John Young (the father of actress Loretta Young) to design the home. He knew of Young for his design work with the Santa Fe Railway. The home reflects the Mission Revival-Prairie School style of architecture and features a unique atrium.
Shortly after Trammell's death the home was leased to the city and served as the only hospital in the area from 1923 to 1936. Later Trammell's daughter and her family occupied the home. In the years to follow it served as a private residence and apartments. In October 2018 Mark and Kim Reaves purchased the property and set about restoring it in their own unique style. The Manor is elegant, light and airy with the centerpiece being the atrium full of tropical plants and the reclaimed original flooring from 1913. Come Experience a Taste of Texas History!
